5 nume noi de asteroizi EURONEAR

-----------------------------------

De curand, numele a 5 membrii si colaboratori EURONEAR au urcat pe cer, intre care 3 romani:

Five asteroids are flying on sky newly named by the IAU since 28 Feb 2022, when its WGSBN minor body naming committee included the following former or actual members, active collaborators and few asteroid discoverers who contributed actively during past years to EURONEAR: (562964) Hudin, (564280) Tudorica, (574300) Curelaru, (579890) Mocnik, and (580301) Aznarmacias. Congrats and thanks to all for their valuable voluntary work in this project!

(562964) Hudin = 2016 BM22
Discovery: 2014-06-03 / EURONEAR * / La Palma / 950
Lucian Hudin (b. 1975) is a Romanian amateur astronomer and computer programmer who owns a small roll-off observatory in Cluj-Napoca. A very active member of the EURONEAR project
using the Issac Newton Telescope, he was involved in data reduction of near Earth asteroids, discovering seven such bodies and other minor planets.

(564280) Tudorica = 2016 GU65
Discovery: 2013-09-08 / O. Vaduvescu, P. van Oers * / La Palma / 950
Alexandru Tudorica (b. 1987) is a Romanian pro-am astronomer who obtained his PhD from the University of Bonn with a thesis on Weak Gravitational Lensing Magnification. His other interests
have been near-Earth asteroids within the EURONEAR project, globular clusters, and the popularization of science.

(574300) Curelaru = 2010 GX202
Discovery: 2014-07-10 / O. Vaduvescu, O. Zamora * / La Palma / 950
Lucian Curelaru (b. 1976) is a Romanian amateur astronomer and software developer, and a member and sysadmin of the EURONEAR project. Interested in astrometry of asteroids and double stars from data mining and observations, he has also contributed to software development for astronomical research projects.

(579890) Mocnik = 2014 XT14
Discovery: 2014-08-01 / EURONEAR * / La Palma / 950
Teo Mocnik (b. 1989) is a Slovenian astronomer currently working at Gemini North. Although his main research interest is exoplanets, during his ING studentship he performed observations of hundreds of asteroids, discovering a few near- Earth asteroid candidates and other minor planets as part of the EURONEAR project.

(580301) Aznarmacías = 2015 BD238
Discovery: 2014-09-23 / O. Vaduvescu, M. Hollands * / La Palma / F51
Amadeo Aznar Macías (b. 1974) is a Spanish pro-am astronomer expert in asteroid photometry and binary asteroids, namely near Earth, Mars-crossings and main belt asteroids. He is a member of
the EURONEAR project, an Asteroid Day regional coordinator, and a prolific disseminator of astronomy through mass media and public conferences.

Felicitari!
