Pe 11 aprilie, Yi-SWAN se va afla la sud de steaua Alpha Cassiopeiae, la mai puțin de jumătate de grad. Pe 23-24 aprilie, cometa va trece la sud de NGC 884 și NGC 869 (Double Cluster).

Aseara am reusit sa observ cometa Yi-SWAN pt. prima data langa steua 11 Per.Vizual: Dobson 8", f/6. 70x, mag.~9, DC=9, Diam. ~5', fara coada, UT 18:45-18:50 26.04.2009, Loc. Mihai Viteazul, Romania.Atasez si o mica schita.
