WHY ARE USSR MILITARY BINOCULARS SO SIMILIAR TO GERMAN ONES? 
 
USSR have had a long history of quality military optics. After the WWII Soviet Army have captured most of the German optical industry, including famous Carl Zeiss-Jena. They took the technology and tooling back to Russia, added their own important value and begun to built similar and sometimes even more powerfull binoculars. Many years these binocs were strictly for military supply. In the late 1980-th, some researchers prooved that these Military Binoculars overmatch their predecessors - world-famous Zeiss binocs.
