In 2019, a team of astronomers revisited the data from ESPRESSO about Proxima b. After doing so, they refined its mass and found another spike with a periodicity of 5.15 days. They estimated that if it were a planetary companion, tentatively named d, it would be about 0.29 masses of the Earth
