Iata, de exemplu cu Ian Palous m-am intalnit si in Italia si in Cehia. Poate e un pic de graba. Mai sunt foarte multe de facut si acasa. De exemplu, sa aflam, cum Doamna Stavinschi si Domnul Vasile Mioc, la fel ca si ceilalti comunisti de la Institutul Astronomic indraznesc sa intre in Europa, iar copii, care nu au fost comunisti nu pot sa faca acest lucru. Ori poate Doamna Stavinschi gandeste, ca Steven Hawking, sau Marcello Rodono, sau Francesco si Santo Catalano o asteapta cu bratele deschise? Mai simplu vorbind, sansa lui Mioc sa fi fost comunist este mai mare decat sansa lui Palous sa fi avut in trecut relatii cu Partidul comunist din Cehoslovacia. Our Library has the complete pre-war issues of the Journal of The Polish Physical Society, which later became transformed into Acta Physica Polonica. I found the mentioned paper by Mihail Pavlov in vol. III of "Sprawozdania i Prace Polskiego Towarzystwa Fizycznego" (Warszawa, 1927). The paper was published in Polish with a summary in French. Its subtitle explained that Pavlov presented it during the III Congress of Polish Physicists in Lvov on September 27, 1926. I made a xerox copy of the whole paper. It will be mailed to you today. One of the founders of the State University of Moldova is Mihail Pavlov, a disciple of the Lv'iv Politechnikum in 1922-1928. According to a letter from Professor Czeslaw Raczinskii, from the Physical Institute of the Lvov Politechnikum, which we have in ours archive, Mihail Pavlov, published his paper concerning the "Absorption of gazes during the electrical discharges" in the Journal of the Polish Physical Society , vol. 3, no.2. The paper could be published in Polish, Russian or German languages, and issued in 1926-1929. The paper is the result of his doctoral research, which He completed at the 2-nd department of Physics of the Lvov Politechnikum where he was employed also as adjunct. We will be very grateful to you if you could send us a photo(or xero) copy from this paper. The copy of the paper will help us in the organization of the Museum of the University in Moldova.
