Nu e niciun secret Erwin, am adus in discutie aceasta carte pentru ca Simms a fost un mare constructor de instrumente iar carticica aceasta e plina de sfaturi foarte utile.
Dau in citat doua metode pe care le aduce autorul in discutie:

The stops, and also the inside of the tube, as far as practicable, at all events near the object-end, should be covered with a dull black pigment, in order that no light may be reflected in any direction within the tube. The paint may be a compound either of an alcoholic varnish and lamp-black; or of gold size, spirit of turpentine, and lamp-black. In the  former case a sufficient degree of heat must be applied to drive off the alcohol by rapid evaporation; and in the latter the paint must be laid on cold, and remain a few days before the work will be dry enough to handle. The effect is the same whichever of these methods be adopted.

Catalin, stiu cum arata argintul supus tratamentului la care te referi, este un negru extraordinar.
Fie-mea a facut fara voie acest experiment cand a intrat anul trecut cu lantisorul de argint in bazinul cu apa termala sulfuroasa de la Herculane. In cateva minute lantisorul a devenit negru ca smoala si niciun efort ulterior de curatare nu a mai dat roade asa incat am fost nevoiti sa-l aruncam.

Luneta RFT suporta cu imagine buna 100x. De pe la 120x incepe sa nu-mi mai placa cum vede, sferocromatismul devine predominant si degradeaza imaginea.
Domeniul grosismentelor pe care merge este acelasi ca si in cazul lunetei RFT comerciale de 120 f5, deci pe undeva am scos tot ce se putea din obiectivul asta sau cel putin asa cred.
